Spiral produced the digital media for the museum. There are two main films, one about the sinking of the Mary Rose, which uses a combination of 3D animation and live action, and the other about the raising of the Mary Rose which uses archive film.

There are three other projected films that depict life on board a Tudor warship; these films use a combination of animation and live action.

There are 8 ‘character’ interactives that show who the objects in each showcase belonged to and how the objects were used on board the ship. These use a combination of re-enactment film (shot for this project) together with images and illustrations. There are also five interactive games including one about firing the ship’s guns and another about how to feed the crew of 500.

The video below shows visitors playing the Divers game. They are using cutout divers to hunt for objects from the Mary Rose buried in the sand.
