Robert Burns Museum
Spiral produced four immersive shows representing Burns poems and songs including Tam o'Shanter. We also produced a series of interactives including the five player Burns Supper activity and an interactive that lets visitors take their shadow portrait and email it home. Spiral also produced The Doll's House four screen video depicting a day in the life of Robert Burns aged 7 for Burns Cottage. The museum won the award for Best Permanent Exhibition at the 2011 Museums and Heritage Awards.

A Changing Nation
Spiral produced eight videos for the Scotland: A Changing Nation gallery. The film One Nation, Five Million Voices presents a cross-section of people giving their personal views on what it means to be Scottish, or live and work in Scotland. The film features a people from all across Scotland and from all walks of life, as well as some Scottish celebrities, musicians and actors. Other videos for the gallery include programmes about Ravenscraig, Entertainment, Housing, Emigration and Shipbuilding.

1001 Inventions
Touring exhibition
Spiral produced an interactive and five videos for this touring exhibition that traces the forgotten story of a thousand years of science from the Muslim world, from the 7th century onwards. To date the exhibition has had successful runs in London, Istanbul and New York. 1001 Inventions won the award for Best Temporary or Touring Exhibition at the 2011 Museums and Heritage Awards.

The Guardian
Media Wall
We designed and built two large screen software installations for Guardian News & Media Ltd. The software displays media from live feeds that include RSS news, video and photographs from the Picture Desk. We also built a CMS back-end that allow authorised Guardian staff to customise the two media players from any desktop computer.

Virtual Curator
This is a six-player game played over nine monitors. The game consists of a series of quick-fire rounds, each one about a particular artwork and artist. The game has proved immensely popular with visitors and is rarely idle.

The Last Place on Earth
Our film The Last Place on Earth – Discovering Antarctica for Discovery Point in Dundee has now opened. The film tells the incredible story of Antarctic exploration and science from its beginnings to the present day. The film show features synchronised snow and aurora lighting effects and a blast of ‘antarctic’ wind from a series of fans below the screens.

Multiplayer Games
Spiral produced two games for the Science of Survival touring exhibition. The fast-paced Future Drink game where visitors discover some of the places we might get more water in the year 2050 and a 3D driving game, Future Journey which explores some new vehicle fuels for the future including plants, electricity and hydrogen.

Windows on the World is a ten plasma screen historical animation that plays out on five windows throughout the exhibition. There are nine character interactives; databases of documents, text, audio and animations that relate to key writers featured in the archive. The Publishing Table is an interactive game projected onto a circular table top.

HCM Exhibition
Spiral were commissioned to make a series of films for the museum's redisplay using archive film, specially shot new material, graphics and photographs. There is also an interactive that has three parts; a quiz about horses, a ceremonial dressing game and a database on the regiment.

Down County Museum
Son et Lumière
This a three screen son et lumière show projected onto the walls of Down County Gaol. The story of the gaol is told in six dramatic episodes. Spiral produced two interactive databases that work both in the gallery and online. The sites database allows users to identify sites of interest in Down County by selecting regions on a zoomable map. The object database explores objects from the museum's collections. Both interactives are easily updateable by curators.

Energy Infozone runs on kiosks in the Science Museum's Energy Gallery and on the web. The project won an IVCA Gold Award for Multimedia/Web and the judges' citation said: "Engaging and a great example of education through entertainment. Beautifully simple whilst offering much."

Spiral produced this interactive map based website and kiosk for Islington Museum. Users can access information and pictures through a series of maps and explore famous people, places and objects as well as Islington’s bomb sites and trivia. A version of the website runs in the Islington Museum on a secure browser.

Design a Poster
Spiral produced this ‘Design a Poster’ activity for the London Transport Museum’s website. Users choose elements from thumbnail menus and using a set of tools design, layout, colour, add captions, choose typeface, flip, rotate images and shapes. Millennium Seed Bank
A film showing the work being done at the Millennium Seed Bank in Wakehurst Place where seeds are dried and stored in a vault to secure their survival. Spiral's production uses specially filmed sequences, archive material form the BBC, graphics and special effects to tell MSB's dramatic story.

Know Your Singapore
Know Your Singapore was produced for Singapore's Urban Redevelopment Authority, working with UK design consultancy HKD. Designed primarily for school groups there are twenty voting stations where children test their knowledge of Singapore's land use, heritage, nature reserves and other intriguing facts in a fun, interactive quiz show hosted by Gurmit Singh (one of Singapore's leading comedic actors).
